Direct Access allows you to go directly to a physical therapist without a physician’s diagnosis or referral!

Lafayette Physical Therapy proudly accepts Direct Access patients as of January 1, 2014.

Please note that your insurance policy may require a visit to your primary care physician first or may limit your access to preferred providers only.

What is Direct Access?

As of January 1, 2014, you are now able to directly access a physical therapist without a physician diagnosis or referral! This means you can save time and money and get immediate treatment by seeing a physical therapist first. If you find it hard to move, don’t wait any longer, call us today to make an appointment!

Several insurance plans are now participating in Direct Access, our front desk would love to verify your benefits for you and let you know if your insurance company participates in the new access benefit. Patients under Direct Access can be seen up to 12 visits or 45 days (whichever comes sooner). If care is needed beyond this timeline our office can coordinate with your physician to extend your care.
