Joanne Cosgrove is a Certified Therapeutic Massage and Manual Lymph Drainage Therapist (non-lymphedema) whose focus is the relief and management of pain. This includes improving movement and restoring function to those areas in need. She has extensive experience working with pre & post-surgical populations. Her primary mission is assisting people in the reduction/elimination/ or management of the pain and tension in their bodies so that they may resume those activities that bring them enJOYment in life.

She holds certificates in: Massage Therapy and Health Education (National Holistic Institute: A College of Massage Therapy), Clinical/Orthopedic Massage (The Center for Pain Management: James Waslaski), Manual Lymph Drainage (The Dr. Vodder School International & The Chikly Institute), Vacuum Therapy Massage Cupping, Burn Scar Massage, CranioSacral Therapy (the Upledger Institute), Myofascial Release (John Barnes Institute).

Joanne enjoys gardening, hiking, theater and the arts, as well as exploring the greater Bay Area with her family and dog, Anna. She and her husband are actively involved in Contra Costa County community service and peer-to-peer support organizations, such as the Community Emergency Response Team of Walnut Creek as well as the Mended Hearts, Inc. (An on going action that actively provides education and peer support to those who have experienced a cardiac event, as well as their families and care givers.)
